SIERRA MADRE ROSE FLOAT ASSOCIATION IS LOOKING FOR APPLICANTS TO REPRESENT SIERRA MADRE as a PRINCESS or AMBASSADOR

The Sierra Madre Rose Float Association will be accepting applications for Princesses or Ambassadors to represent the Float Association at local functions and activities and ride on our float on New Year’s Day in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.

Princesses or Ambassadors will not only have the honor of riding on the Sierra Madre float, but will also have the pleasure of speaking to the Sierra Madre City Council and most of the local service organizations & clubs.  In addition, they will be assisting during our deco week and during publicity events.  Princesses or Ambassadors will have a very exciting and educational year.

Application Guidelines and Process:

1)    Applicants must be 15 to 18 years old, have a 3.0 or higher grade point average and be a resident of Sierra Madre.

2)    Applications may be picked up at City Hall, your High School or the Application can be downloaded here..

3)    Applications must be received by SMRFA by Friday, October 12th, 2018.  Applications submitted later than October 12th or on judging day will not be accepted. Mail to SMRFA, P.O. Box 603, Sierra Madre, CA 91025, or leave the application at the float barn (put in an envelope and slide under the door). 

4)    Applicants must appear for judging on Sunday, October 14th, at 3:15 p.m. at The Lodge at Sierra Madre, 33 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre.  No parents please.

5)    Announcement Ceremony will be held Sunday, October 21st, 3:00 p.m., at The Lodge at Sierra Madre, 33 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. Tickets are $5.00 at the door for family & friends and free for candidates.  Refreshments will be served.

Sierra Madre Rose Float Association is pleased to offer this wonderful opportunity to the special young women and young men of our community.

Princesses/Ambassadors must be available to participate in the speaking engagements and during our deco week, between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
