Chivalry!

The design was submitted by Joanne Garcia

Sierra Madre is the smallest city to enter a float in the parade. The volunteers comes together to self-build and
self-fund the annual float creation. This is our 86th year demonstrating the commitment of our community to come
together to create an meaningful experience for our volunteers. Our float, depicting a young knight-to-be
helping the injured dragon, demonstrates kindness in helping others.
A Rose blossom tree graces the front of the float. A First Aid kit is being used by young boy standing on a parapet to bandage a lady dragon's paw. 4 young ladies grace the back of the float sitting under a large Rose blossom tree. The perimeter of the float mimics castle wall ruins.
